Welcome everyone and thank you for wanting to learn more about who we are and what we do. I come from humble beginnings and a challenging childhood which led to my grand imagination and love for writing poetry. Ever since I was a child, I used poetry as an outlet which led to an entire book of poems about my personal life journeys.

One crossroad that sent me into survivor mode was graduating high school as a homeless, pregnant teenager, working full time during the day and taking two night classes to have the opportunity to walk with my class. After working at McDonalds and spending every check I had on my daughters necessities, taking the night courses and actually graduating, gave me a sense of strength I never knew I had. I continued on to medical school right after I graduated to provide a better life for my child. While attending the school, a teacher asked to read the book of poems. I know everybody has a story to tell so I didn't see anything wrong....until it wasn't returned. I focused on completing the program and worked in the medical field for eleven years. Eight years in cardiology and three years at the jail in medical.

One turning point I'm grateful for was the day I was the only person in medical responsible for one hundred and fifty inmates and I have my (then) two kids in the van...with a walkie-talkie, until my husband got out of work at nine. That was the night I decided that my trend of working full time for someone else ever since I was 14 was OVER. I opened up a commercial cleaning company because I saw the success my father-in-law had. We ran that completely ourselves for four years. Getting sick of working every night, I figured it would be a great idea to obtain my real estate license to give me more time with the kids. During the Real Estate Agent course at Keller Williams, I  learned about companies that serviced the foreclosed homes for the banks. I thought that would be a great business my husband and I would be able to do ourselves because we could make our own schedule and still be there for when they had a day off. We had to do the most unspeakable things for bread and butter, which led me into the idea of combining two things I love, my children and writing poetry, into an educational children's book series where my children went around the world teaching the kids about the different countries, all through my love of rhyme. I closed the company three months ago to pursue my dream of writing full time.

After the publication of my first self-published book, "Annalee, Briana, and Caiden...Go to Paris, France!" I went in search of a company who had the customers I needed that would be willing to offer that book as a customer incentive. I approached Aer Lingus and got as far as the head quarters in Dublin, Ireland but then I quickly registered that any other author that can rhyme can do the same thing for the U.S.. Upon that realization, I decided to approach Elaine Chao, the Secretary for the Department of Transportation, who is in full support of the program. Each child passenger twelve and under flying to any state in America will receive a free eBook about the state that they're flying to.  This will be the first country supporting children's literacy in such a creative, groundbreaking way.

Now that all the behind the scenes work is done, we just need funding to complete writing the series, publication costs, programming for the code the child will receive once they check in for their flight, and travel cost to provide for the book images and the social media campaign. Donations of any amount are graciously appreciate and even a small amount goes a long way. If you are unable to donate but would love to help support this cause, please share this page with your friends on social media. All donors will automatically be entered into the social media campaign to receive a personalized book made just for the winner. I would love to thank you for taking the time to read about our story! Wishing every one nothing but health and happiness!
